TAF Research Seminar, Prof. Christian Laux

Am 24. Oktober 2017 hält Prof. Christian Laux (WU Vienna) im Rahmen des TAF Research Seminars im Raum Q5.245 einen Vortrag.

Christian Laux ist seit 2010 Professor für Finance an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (Österreich). 1990 hat er sein Masterstudium in Business Administration an der Universität von Wisconsin-Madison (USA) abgeschlossen. Im Anschluss arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Goethe Universität Frankfurt, wo er 1995 seinen Doktortitel erlangte. Nach einem Aufenthalt als Visiting Fellow an der Harvard Universität (USA), wurde er wissenschaftlicher Assistent an der Universität Mannheim, wo er 2002 erfolgreich habilitierte. Bis 2010 war er Professor für Corporate Finance and Risk Management an der Goethe Universität Frankfurt. Weiterhin war er Gastdozent an der London School of Economics (UK), an der University of Pennsylvania (USA) und an der University of Chicago (USA; Graduate School of Business und Booth School of Business).

At the TAF Research Seminar, on October 24, 2017 in room Q5.245, Prof. Christian Laux (Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria) presents his current research.

Christian Laux is professor in Finance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria) since 2010. In 1990 he obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). He received his doctoral degree at the Goethe University Frankfurt in 1995. After working as a visiting fellow at the Harvard University (USA), he was an assistant professor at the University of Mannheim and successfully finished his habilitation process there in 2002. He then became a professor for Corporate Finance and Risk Management at the Goethe University Frankfurt. He was also a visiting faculty member at the London School of Economics (UK), the University of Pennsylvania (USA) and the University of Chicago (USA; Graduate School of Business and Booth School of Business).
