Informationen zur John Molson Case Competition

John Molson MBA International Case Competition (former Concordia Case Competition) at the Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, had its debut in 1982. The competition is a non-profit business event organized by the MBA students. It is the largest and the oldest MBA case competition in the world.

The competition format is a round-robin tournament consisting of five business cases and includes one live case.

A live case is a current business decision-making problem faced by a real company represented in the competition at the executive level. Teams of four students apply their analytical, decision-making and communication skills to the issues raised in the cases present strategic choices and a detailed plan of action to a panel of senior business executives.

Teams are assessed on creativity, insight and real world applicability of their presentations. Following the round-robin tournament, nine teams advance to the semi-finals for the opportunity to compete for one of three places in the finals. The competition has been sponsored in various ways by corporations, including Bombardier, BearingPoint, RBC Groupe Financier, ScotiaBank, IBM, Air Canada, Alcan, Pfizer, Novartis, Johnson&Johnson, Standard Life Investments, Aéroports de Montréal, John Molson Breweries, and many others.
